Our Cypress is natural and healthy and we want to keep it that way. Of course it needs some kind of coating to seal it against dirt and moisture. We use and recommend natural oils for this. Similarly with stains, we use food-grade non-toxic stains that are derived from plants. The oils we use are pure tung oil and D-limonene from oranges. The latter is used to thin the tung oil and speed up the drying process. Other reason that we use these products is that we are not prepared to expose our workers to the risks that we think are inherent in using chemical dyes and coatings. We run a healthy factory and provide safe and pleasant working conditions for our workers and as managers we will not ask anyone to use on a daily basis products that we ourselves would not be prepared to expose ourselves to.
